JSON Schema Validator & Tester

Validate a JSON instance against an explicit JSON Schema (Draft 7, 2019-09, or 2020-12), listing every error with its exact location in the instance and in the schema, browsable one by one. It uses a validator that interprets the schema directly (no eval or executable code generation), resolves $ref only locally (never remotely, never via fetch), and protects against recursive schemas with explicit limits. It never confuses valid JSON with JSON that satisfies the schema.

Frequently asked questions

Does it download remote $refs from the schema?
No, never. It only resolves internal references from the schema itself or from additional schemas you paste or upload yourself; a remote $ref is reported as unresolved.
Does valid JSON automatically satisfy the schema?
No. Being well-formed JSON (JSON.parse doesn't fail) is a separate precondition from satisfying the schema's rules (types, required, enum, etc.); this tool checks both separately.
