XML Formatter, Validator & Converter

Format and minify XML, validate that it's well-formed with the error's line and column, convert XML to JSON and JSON to XML with a documented representation (attributes, text, CDATA, comments), and show the number of elements, attributes, depth, and namespaces. Frequently asked questions

Does it process DTDs or external entities?
No, never. Any <!DOCTYPE> is rejected outright before the XML is parsed, precisely to avoid exposing you to external entity (XXE) attacks.
Is the XML → JSON conversion perfectly reversible?
Not for mixed content (interleaved text and elements) or for CDATA/comments, whose exact position isn't preserved; the tool states this explicitly instead of claiming a reversibility that doesn't exist.
